Cold email is broken. Cheap databases sell addresses for cents, and inboxes are flooded with pitches nobody asked for. Between 2020 and 2023, I ran a B2B go-to-market agency specialising in polite cold outbound. After 100,000+ targeted emails sent for 10+ B2B clients, we learned what worked and what didn’t. When cold email conversion rates fell, I closed the agency, and started to think about doing a Search.

ColdFire brings that experience to Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA). Independent searchers and search funds start with an acquisition thesis, research owners who fit, and build small, focused campaigns. AI helps prepare a personal approach; you review the owner and approve every email that is sent. The aim is a conversation about buying a business, starting with a cold email that feels like a warm introduction.
